Eiyn Sof is Melissa Boraski, a stay-at-home mother of two who began the project during her kids' naptimes, mainly to sustain sanity.
A contemporary gospel singer in her teens, Boraski ditched the church in her early 20's and played in numerous projects in and around Toronto following that. In 2005, once she found herself at home with kids and bored out of her skull creatively-speaking, she started using her boyfriends' Juno 60 synthesizer and recorded two short albums of quirky, esoteric electronic tunes lying somewhere in the Broadcast/Delia Derbyshire realm, under the moniker of Eiyn Sof. Simultaneously, Melissa was documenting her more exoteric countrified-folk songs and naturally began weaving the playful and at times unorthodox spirit of the soundscape escapades into the recordings. What resulted is Eiyn Sof's debut full-length record, 'Bloodstreams'. Out on Blue Fog Recordings

"Fans of Lisa Germano, take note: Brantford, Ontario’s prodigiously talented Melissa Boraski could very well become your new go-to gal for quirkily brooding antifolk." ~ Straight.com.

"Holy fuck, Bloodstreams is hauntingly beautiful!” ~ Eric, innernnette guy.
."It's possibly the greatest Bored Nu-mom psych folk." ~ Whitey Houston, for Vuweekly (edmonton).

"She takes me on a ride into outer space and then turns on fucking A.M. radio." ~ Ron Sandlewood.
."Bloodstreams is a strikingly strong debut record that’s deceptively understated and startlingly original." ~ Benjamin Boles, for Now Magazine (Toronto).
