-Biography-
Bread Chaser Entertainment was founded in 2007 by the two brothers Alexander West (Boo) and Tavarius West (Young Lino). Since entering the Music Business only two years ago, Bread Chaser Entertainment has secured a professional Management deal with Showboat Sports & Entertainment Agency which was started by Antonio R. Richardson, Sr. who has a Master’s Degree in Business Management and is the protégé of one of Atlanta’s top Sports & Entertainment Attorneys – Mr. John F. Christmas, Esq. Christmas manages over 65 of Atlanta’s best-selling recording artists and currently serves as the Chairman of the Bio Fuels Racing Alliance, LLC. Also, the Label has secured a Marketing & Promotional deal with GA-Entertainment.com to handle all of its online advertising efforts. After partnering with the Southwest, GA Radio & Music Conference in 2008, Bread Chaser Entertainment has recently entered into negotiations with Select-O-Hits out of Memphis, Tennessee for a National Distribution deal to distribute the Label’s debut album in summer 2009.
In May of 2008 Bread Chaser Entertainment released its first Mix-CD entitled “E.M.F.” The Official Mix-Tape (Vol.1). The Mix-CD was met with rave reviews from the Streets, the Clubs, and the Radio. Clear Channel Radio’s 96.3 WJIZ in Albany, GA has featured the hit single “I’m Fresh” on several of its Mix-Shows and regular broadcasts for over six months since its release. Additionally, the Label’s CEO (Boo) was recently featured on the cover of Urban Grind Magazine which has also featured celebrities such as Chevy-P of Field Mob, Princess of Crime Mobb, Shawty Lo, and many more. The magazine also featured a two page cover story on the life and times of Alexander West a/k/a Boo.
Prior to entering the Music Business, Boo served a 6 year sentence in Macon, GA on a drug possessions charge. Ironically, in April of 2007 Young Lino was arrested for a shooting incident in Albany, GA and is scheduled to be released from prison in 2013. However, his hit single “If I Should Die Tonight” has been in regular rotation on Urban South Radio along with celebrity artists such as UGK, Slim Thug, B.G., Chevy-P, and more. With his back against the wall and nowhere to turn, now that the Label’s franchise artist (also his younger brother) Young Lino was behind bars, Boo decided to persevere. In order to fulfill his younger brother’s dream of owning a successful independent Record Label, Boo began his journey by signing two groups consisting of five artists to the Label’s roster, thus carrying on the Bread Chaser name and brand.
The Label’s first group “E.M.F.” consists of Eggy, Manly, and Jr. Boy. Their debut single is entitled “Bread Chaserz”. The single is currently being featured on several local mix-tapes and in regular rotation at all the major clubs in Albany, GA and surrounding cities. This trio has been labeled as one of the best groups to debut from the City of Albany since Field Mob. The group has already created a huge following that covers the entire East Side of Albany. With proven street credibility, lyrical prowess, and some of the best producers in the game, “E.M.F.” has positioned themselves as a force to be reckoned with.
The Label’s second group, Caskit & Hillbilly consists of two solo artists; however they have decided to release their first project under the Label as a joint venture. The group’s first hit single is entitled “I’m Fresh”. The single has been in regular rotation on Clear Channel Radio’s 96.3 WJIZ in Albany, GA since its release in May of 2008. Blessed with the ability deliver precise lyrical punch-lines over tracks self-produced by Hillbilly, this duo is destined for a position amongst Hip-Hop’s finest. Already an industry veteran, Caskit was also featured on Lil’ Scrappy’s debut album entitled the King of Crunk & BME Recordings presents Lil’ Scrappy/Trillville which was executive produced by Lil’ John.
