Richard Savo

Born April 07, 1982. was born and raised in Acre, From an early age (10) he started studying to play the piano, loving to hear its tones and rhythms. This love for music gave him the tools necessary to become a talented musician and singer (Rapper).

In 1999, Richard along with two of his friends, started the first Arabic rap band called "MWR." It was through MWR that Richard was able to impact the musical scene throughout the world with an amazing mix of eastern and western styles. He has left a permanent stamp on the industry and a model for others to follow.
Richard further expanded his career and talents by undertaking a huge task -- composing, scoring and producing a series of original sound tracks for a 15 hour historical drama called "The God Stories." Working on this film project took him to Morocco and then Holland where he lived for a while.

While in Holland he was inspired by the Clubbing and Dance Scene and it was there that he decided to use all his gifts and skills in further advancing the whole field of electronic music.

Adding to his already significant portfolio Richard rounded out his experience with formal study in Sound Design and Synthesis.

MWR began their professional life in 1999, when three good friends started writing the words in their own Rap songs in Arabic.

Then they took the first letter of each of their names and formed the band. Their songs talk about: conflicts and troubles they have in their lives and about Arabs living among Jews, everyday problems, war and peace, criminals, drugs, money, racism, and some joyful songs too.
