The Fall of the House: Waltzing through Weimar America, Part 3 - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 04, 2017
DESCRIPTION:
On election night, 2016, as returns were coming in, this chamber concert was taking place on West 37th street in New York City, between where each of the candidates were to speak. Here leading members of the Berlin Philharmonic, including the Concertmaster, play a program rich in symbolism concerning our nightmarish U.S. election, and this excerpt shows the opening section of the core part of the program, Waltzing through Weimar America.

The following was the full program for the concert, which was preceded and followed by jazz sets given by Alexander Claffy, bass, Victor Gould, piano and Benny Benack, trumpet.
