Lyrics:

For ramblin' or rovin', for fightin' or courtin',
Or drinkin' black porter as fast as you pour,
In the whole nine worlds over you'll find none so jovial
As the champion of Asgard, the bold Asa Thor.

With the worlds newly parted and Asgard just started,
There came there a workman both stalwart and tall,
And the Gods said they'd pay up the love-goddess Freyja,
The sun, and the moon if he'd build them a wall.
Well, things looked worse and worse, for the help of his horse
Did promise on ending both dismal and dread,
But the loss of his creature showed his giantish nature,
And bold Asa-Thor came and bashed in his head.

He had a great duel with the giantish fool
Who thought that all Asgard was his to enjoy;
With a huge man of clay, he thought he'd win the day,
For brave Thunor had only his and boy.
But the clay man get scared for his heart was a mare's,
And with cunning Thor's servant soon put him away;
Thor struck his foe dead when he shattered his head,
And Thor carries a piece in his brow to this day.

A giant was wishing to take Donar fishing,
For the Redbeard had drowned all his meat and his wine;
Oh, they rowed many miles, then the giant, he smiles,
And says, "Here, boy's, a place you can drop in your line."
Thor fished for a spell till he felt a great pull,
And to his host's horror drew out the World Snake;
Then the giant did whine and he cut bold Thor's line,
And Thor waded back home leaving him in the lake.

Brave Thor, he is fearless; as a warrior, he's peerless;
When he gets out his hammer, foes better beware.
And when it was lost, he cared not for the cost,
But to Giant-land dressed as a woman be fared.
With him Loki went walking to do all the talking,
And the great foolish giant was soon taken in;
For soon, for his trouble, his palace was rubble,
And bold Asa-Thor was triumphant again.
