Spiralling cinders of the soul from the ether since the Fall of 2003. Awen is a vehicle for the visions and intonations of Erin Powell with the chief assistance and musicianship of Eric Kristopher of the Industrial electronic project unitcode:machine. Awen is an old Brythonic word for inspiration. The sound is inspired by ancestral entities and archetypal imagery. The bonds of blood are never broken. You are your ancestor. This blood mysticism is the crux of the work. In order to represent this ideology we have chosen to describe the project's sound as Ancestral Ambient.



We have recently created a second page in order to share more of our music. The music there is perhaps in a slightly different vein.
