*U*P*S* Undaground Pimp Squaddd - is a collection of RAP/HIP HOP artists who are committed to consistently winning over the masses with their musical abilities. Their sphere of influence not only culturally but lyrically as well can be found in hip hop artists such as Tupac Shakur, Notorious BIG, Jay-Z Nas, The Roots, Common, Talib Kweli, LOX, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, and many other hip hop greats.



*U*P*S* is known to provide quality performances with plenty of energy, while also gaining the support of key hip hop artists and producers. They have continued to gain a substantial buzz locally in Pittsburgh. Between their first mixtape release “These Hills Have Eyes: The Mixtape” and their second mixtape release “Jackin for Beats” they have reached over 5,000 people locally and received a total spread of over 16,500 plays on myspace.com. They are now expecting to greatly exceed previous numbers with the release of their first commercial mixtape “Welcome to the Underground Vol. 1” which features all original songs and production.



The group has been recording and performing together for just over a year -- in the studio and around venues in the Pittsburgh area. In that time period the artists have developed an undeniable chemistry in addition to headlining shows at Pittsburgh Venues such as Matrix ( in Station Square), The Hkan Hookah Bar and Lounge and The Shadow Lounge, and receiving press from media outlets such as JENESIS Magazine.
