KINGPINZ MUSIC GROUP

KingPinz Music Group is an independent Pittsburgh based record label who is home to one of the most diverse collection of talent in our region. The label was created and developed in the summer 0f 2006 by Dane "Bricks" Childs who had started, organized, and financed other urban labels. Dane "BRICKS" Childs has had an extensive background in entreprenuership and musical traning and influences. The above tools allow him to be very vocal in each KingPinz Muisc Group release.



Our mission is to provide each consumer with a quality listening expierence and provide unique sound recordings that can easily be related and understood by any person no matter there socio-economic status. KingPinz was developed as an outreach tool for urban youths to get involved with music whether that be from an artist(s) standpoint, business liasion, or attentive listener. One of the most extraordinary facts about this label is it's ability to operate without specific contractual obligations. "I feel as though I've molded a lot of talent in this city and if any major record label was offering money the artist should be free to follow that dream without worrying about a contract to a local label" says founder Dane "BRICKS" Childs. Another fact that KingPinz is so revered in stating is that for the most part our artists work freely and have majority control in the direction of their projects. KingPinz Music Group is legally funded thru hard work of the artists and executive staff meaning that we pay for everything out of pocket.



KingPinz Music Group employs 15 artists, executives, and various other personnel. We are comprised of 5 different local neighborhood and our personnels ages range from 16-27. The music group intends on using music as a means to connect with urban teenagers who would otherwise be lost without music; essentially, these are our target customers.



KingPinz Music Group is furthering it's reach into every nook and cranny in the Pittsburgh area. So of course this year we have a lot more in store for the greater Pittsburgh area and of course you; all of our internet fans. This year you can be on the lookout for:

The music group has also started a parent company with other Pittsburgh based record labels and artists. The Umbrella Corporation was created earlier this year and consists of many great local talents such as: UPS, GMFL, SMOKEDOUT, and MOST WANTED FMOB.
