Nucleya is Udyan Sagar, former member and partner of Bandish Projekt. He is an extremely versatile self taught artist, musician, music producer and sound designer. His live performances project his versatility and expertise while taking the audience to places they have never been to before. Nucleya redefines Indian electronica by creating a fusion of complex cut up edits and unheard Indian sounds, with cutting edge production and genre-defying rhythms.

His father gave him his first computer when he was 18-19 years old. As a kid, he heard a lot of Bollywood music from the 50’s & 60’s at home. He felt that the whole process of making music was very structural; there’s an intro, there’s a verse, there’s a chorus, there’s a bridge. It’s a very set process and everyone follows that.

He din’t find any interest in the Bollywood bit at all. In spite of wanting to experiment there weren’t too many opportunities. He wanted to do his own thing; he captured bits from Ads and arranged it in a way that it talks with the beats. This was interesting to him because it was never done before. It was still music, still rhythmic; this is his approach to live true.
