PUBLISHED:  Mar 13, 2009
DESCRIPTION:
Celtic Mayhem performs the traditional 13th Century Sephardic love song "A La Una Yo Naci" at the 2009 Florida Renaissance Festival in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

With Ty Billings on lead vocals and guitar, Jack Stamates on fiddle, and Martyn Wylde on bass guitar, plus guest musician Tree McInnis on Bodhran.

The language is Ladino. Roughly translated, the song says:

"At one I was born
At two I grew up
At three I took a lover
At four I married
I married a lover

Tell me little girl where do you come from
That I want to get acquainted
If you have no lover
I will defend you
Soul, life, and heart

Going off to war
I threw two kisses into the air
One is for my mother
The other is for you"
