DESCRIPTION:
This is a quick recording of a song still in its infancy. The message it gives is one of the frustration toward the current educational system, where conformity and opinion-turned-fact are forced through everyone like a cookie-cutter pattern. The phrase 'at Gunpoint' is a not too distant metaphor for how we are given no choice but to follow suit and believe and regurgitate what we are told on a daily basis.
Right now our band only consists of me (guitar) and Josh (singing). I plan on developing this song a lot more once we have drums and bass, so right now it's still in its infancy. Let us know what you think!

LYRICS:
Well I'm kind of psychic
And I saw the future just the other day
And I saw a beggar asking for truth
And I saw you, and I saw
Children learning at gunpoint
Children learning at gunpoint
Well I'm not psychic
But I know the future
How about you
And I saw a nation denied truth
And I saw you not giving a shit
Children learning at gunpoint
Children learning at gunpoint
Oh why the silence
Is it the product of violence?
It's kind of lethal, I guess
Why is it behind us
To kill them off like silent pictures
On the TV screen?
There were
Children learning at gunpoint
Children learning at gunpoint
Why is it so silent?
Is it the sound of violence?
They're kind of lifeless after a bullet to the head
Why is it behind us to kill them off like silent pictures?
Children are learning at gunpoint

FYI: Sorry I'm not using a real acoustic guitar, but we originally only intended this to be for purposes of song remembrance and development. This is hardly a recording meant to give the feeling of being finished.
