DESCRIPTION:
Last September I uploaded a cover of a song by The Tubes called "Fantastic Delusions" which is on the "Outside Inside" album. That upload was the catalyst that led to this collaboration.

My keyboard playing friend from Brazil, Richie, did all the heavy lifting on this one - finding just the right drummer, audio engineering and video editing...unfortunately, I think he grabbed the first singer he stumbled upon. I dragged Harry along for the ride.

Again, I don't consider myself a singer, but wanted to give this a shot; not only because I love The Tubes but because on the other three Rush collaborations I had sung on, the vocals were recorded before I underwent surgery and radiation treatments for throat cancer. I wanted to see if there was anything left of what "was" there prior to the treatments.

I don't think it came out too awful-bad. Harry, who recorded my bass and vocals, is a pretty tough producer. This was my first time singing harmony with myself which was pretty interesting. In the interest of full disclosure, that's Harry singing the "step outside your world" and the "ooh-ooh-woo" parts during the pre-chorus'.
