Trey Jewell is a singer/songwriter born and raised in the prolific musical environment of Memphis, Tennessee. Trey was destined never to just be any ordinary country artist. Steeped in the music of the south, Trey grew up with Southern gospel music listening to his father's quartet, "Call to Worship" when he was young.
It wouldn't be long before Trey discovered his mother's student guitar and seemed to innately understand the instrument at the age of twelve. Having already performed in church and with his dad, the combination of guitar and vocals gravitated quickly to songwriting. He soon penned his first song Blue Rider at age 13 which is still in his set list as a testament to Trey's talent for songwriting at a young age. His debut self-released record, "All Roads Lead to You," was released in 2007 while still in his teenage years. "he sounds like a young George Jones with a new school style" according to Jon Rich from Big and Rich, having just heard Trey sing in a Nashville showcase.
For the last three years, Trey has performed at several venues opening for platinum selling recording artists Alan Jackson and David Ball as well as Rio Grand, Rick Monroe, Stephen Cochrane, and The Flat River Band. Trey has also been the headliner at Cadillac Ranch in Nashville, Hard Rock Cafe(c) on Beale Street in Memphis, and The Legendary Beach Wagon in Myrtle Beach, SC. He also headlined the Flags Across Florida event in Tampa, FL in April 2009.
Trey's endorsements include Peavey, Samick/Greg Bennett Guitars, Dixie Outfitters, and Peak Audio among others. Trey's music continues to be played worldwide as he gains new listeners through radio play, treyjewell.com, his MySpace, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter as well as his high-energy live shows. Trey has reached # 2 on Clear Channel On Demand, # 3 on Soundclick, and # 7 on The Independent Music Network charts.
