Comin' Home Baby was composed by bass player Ben Tucker back in 1961. It became a top 40 hit for singer Mel Torme in 1962. Michael Buble also recorded this song and it was a hit in Germany. I heard the Buddy Rich Big Band do this song back in 1969 and he recorded it on the Buddy& Soul album.Tony Castellano Jr. is playing his arrangement of this classic song doing the melody and bass line at the same time.I`m playing on my vintage 1971 Slingerland drum kit with a swing feel for this arrangement.
