These songs of t.k. bollinger span close to 10 years of material. This compilation came about after many annoying pleas and threats by Vis Ortis, who compiled the tracks from t.k. bollinger’s previous releases, including some demos and unreleased versions. Stripped to their bare essentials, voice and guitar, they fit together with the same essential function as a bullet and a gun. These songs speak of small, unpleasant, truths like old love, heartbreak, and outcast emotions. Truths that have been beaten so many times, it’s no longer funny. Truths left naked in the bitter winter of their own failed circumstance. We face these emotions at times when we find ourselves vulnerable and afraid. Afraid to feel and afraid not to feel. The discomfort sticks around until it dawns on us that our fear is the same as waking up, and all we can do is keep breathing and move on, accompanied by the sound of the last gunshot ringing in our ears.
