DESCRIPTION:
Solos for Young Saxophonist is a performance series compiled with pieces from H. Voxman's "Concert and Contest Collection for Eb Alto Saxophone," Bruce Pearson and Mary Elledge's Standard of Excellence Festival Solos," and Larry Teal's "Solos For The Alto Saxophone Player." This is a common collection of music performed by saxophonist in Middle School and High School. This is to be a source for, but not limited to, young students interested in performing for Solo and Ensemble.

Edward Goodman is currently the doctoral student of Donald Sinta and Timothy McAllister at The University of Michigan. He has received a bachelors degree in both Music Education and Music Performance from Michigan State University, and masters degrees in both Music Performance and Jazz Improvisation at the University of Michigan. Edward is a founding member of The Moanin' Frogs Saxophone Sextet.

This master series promotes the use of "Smart Music," a music program which allows musicians to play along with an accompaniment. Smart Music includes method books, classical repertoire, and jazz charts.
