Timz, an American born rapper of Chaldean and Iraqi descent—captures the world’s attention with his latest eye-opening music video ‘If I Ruled The World.’ The newest effort from Timz explains how he would transform the world if he could – addressing police brutality, religious conflict, and the terrorist network, ISIS.

Using the Hip-Hop classic, “If I Ruled The World,” by Nas and Lauryn Hill as his backdrop, Timz delivers a unique acoustic-guitar version of the song to present a powerful and controversial message, inspiring hope to a world badly in need.

“It’s easy to look at society and be discouraged. It seems like the news is getting worse every day. But instead of feeling hopeless, I asked myself, ‘What would I do if I could change the world?’ ‘What would I do if I ruled the world?’ And I hope people come away asking the same question - because ultimately, we do rule the world.”

The headline-making artist is no stranger to controversy. Timz landed world-wide attention with the single and video titled ‘Iraq,’ from his first album, Open for Business. The album catapulted the artist to instant stardom, becoming a regular feature on international media outlets such as MTV, FOX News, Al Jazeera, BBC and The Huffington Post.

The quick and rather rare success of the independent artist does not come as a surprise to the usually humbled musician.

“Being born an American to Iraqi parents, who were Christian in a Muslim country, is the type of train wreck story that makes people want to stop, look and listen. I hope that I’ve been able to give them something worth stopping for.”

‘If I Ruled The World’ picks up where Timz's previous music videos, Iraq and Refugee, left off. Iraq, winner of the Hollywood Film Festival's "Video of the Year" and potential nominee for the MTV Video Music Awards' "Video of the Year", has captured a collective million hits on YouTube.com.
