For as long as he can remember, he has always been an avid music lover, born in South London in 1986 and growing up in Tottenham, North London has meant that he has always been surrounded by rich music culture.

Growing up in a Christian home gave him a much appreciated exposure to gospel music. Artists such as Yolanda Adams, Karen Clark and Smokie Norful were regularly played in the family home. Benny also cites Jazz and Opera as sources of inspiration for his music as well as artists such as Michael Jackson, Usher and Brandy. Benny also states that Nigerian artists such as Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Shina Peters and Sunny Ade have also been an influence.

Benny’s love affair with music really began in 1996 when he started to MC with school friends. Soon, Benny found himself losing concentration during lessons and writing new lyrics in his school books.

It was also at this time that he became part of a crew named Love or Hate Mandem with producer Outlaw, Alby and Gemini. Benny enjoyed his stints MCing at local radio stations such as Heat FM, Mystic, BBC 1xtra and Rinse FM.

Proving to be increasingly popular with listeners, Benny and his crew soon thought that it was time he released some material. This came in the form of promotional CDs Talented Gangster and The Business Volumes 1 and 2 which featured artist such as Jme, Nolay, Skepta, Big H, Mark Asare and many more. To name a few, he also featured in Rwd and not to mention having his video aired on national television on channel U.



Benny soon found that he had a talent for song writing and piano playing, thus he would ensure that he took the time out to play the piano everyday at the church.

Finding himself being pulled in various directions, he decided to take a break from mixing, recording and song writing to focus on his personal development in the form of a university degree.

Whilst studying Music Technology at Thames Valley University, he took up singing music theatre, learning new opera and jazz songs and various vocal techniques (Singing grade 8).



Benny has put heart, mind and soul into his development.



On completion of his degree, Benny recorded around three albums worth of new material ready for the music industry. He also took on the development of two artists, by the names of J will and Dymunds.



As a songwriter and engineer, Benny has worked with a number of artists of extremely high calibre, who all respect his wealth of knowledge and experience.



With his currently untitled album and wealth of new material, Benny is reinvigorated and ready to set the industry ablaze. Single releases and collaborations with the likes of Rebler, Dymunds, Tribal Magz, Dotstar, Rapid and Scorcher are all in the pipeline.



Embarking on the final year of his Masters in Music Management and Artist Development which will equip him with the knowledge and skills required establish his company- The Business Records, Benny is destined for a bright and successful future.
