DESCRIPTION:
Thrush is a 3 piece supergroup consisting of singer/songwriter Phil Solem (The Rembrandts), drummer Michael Bland (Soul Asylum, Prince, etc.), and bassist John Fields (producer of soul Asylum, Switchfoot, etc.)

This was shot during a recording session at Flowers Studio in Minneapolis. It's only in the control room, so you can't see the amazing drumming of Michael Bland, but you can feel his power. Studio owner Ed Ackerson is co-engineering with Fields (aka JRF) and is seen making sure things are running. Solem sings a scratch vocal in the film, and the harmonies and high guitar overdubs didn't exist at that time. This was the second, and final, take.

Thrush makes only rare appearances, and this in-studio video is even more rare.
