The Simian Line are an alternative rock band from Perth in Western Australia. They originally formed in 2005 before undergoing a series of lineup and stylistic changes.

Since their earlier projects the band has come a long way supporting nationally and internationally renowned acts including Hard-Fi (UK), The Butterfly Effect, Sunk Loto, Eskimo Joe and Birds Of Tokyo as well as playing The Big Day Out '07 and recently the WAMi Spectacular. They have appeared on multiple compilation albums from home and abroard including Kiss My WAMi and the 272 Records Riot On Sunset Volume 5.

The Simian Line released their EP in November 2006 through MGM to a sold out crowd at The Amplifier Bar which was followed by their debut interstate tour. 'Look So Loud' is the first offering from this emerging Perth based rock outfit, however they are anything but your typical "loud" rock band. Whether it be the heartfelt ballad 'Adore You' or the riff heavy 'Illumination', The Simian Line provide a sophistication and honesty throughout its seven tracks, with an emphasis on versatility. After a short history the hype surrounding this group can now be understood. This is just a taste of things to come from a band that appeal to the masses.
