Railroad Gin - The Driver (Non-LP Track) (Original 45) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 01, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Railroad Gin was a uniquely Queensland phenomenon...
...homegrown Brisbane talent who, despite the amazing quality of their work, couldn't make it, to any extent, outside their home state.

Railroad Gin had four hits in Brisbane...this is the flipside of their third, and the final one with Carol Lloyd's distinctive vocals.
It was released in Australia in 1975 on a Polydor 45, 2079 063.
The A. side was "You Told The World", which reached # 2 on the Brisbane charts.

After this, Carol Lloyd left the band, attempting to forge a solo career with "The Carol Lloyd Band", which, in 1976, scored two Top 10 hits in Brisbane and a Top 20 in Adelaide.

This upload is from the original 45...the only place, to my knowledge, that it's ever appeared.
It has a little light surface noise, but, it's fine.

I haven't uploaded the A. side to YouTube because it's already here, from re-issue CD.
