Paul B. Allen III, known for years as the "Smooth Voice" of The Buck Ram Platters, has performed for Prince Albert and Princess Caroline of Monaco as well as The Royal Family in England. He was also invited to perform for President Clinton at The White House in Washington, D.C. In fact, Paul has performed all around the globe for people from all walks of life who have one thing in common, love of great music.
Paul is also a very successful internationally published songwriter with a 1 hit in America ("SUCH A GOOD FEELING" by BROTHERS IN RHYTHM), as well as his European smash single "ALWAYS THERE" recorded by INCOGNITO. (6 in the UK; top 20 in Germany; and 1 in The Neatherlands.)
Other artists who have recorded Paul's songs include SIDE EFFECT; MIKI HOWARD; HELEN BAYLOR; DAVID OLIVER; JONNY REASONS; BILLY COBHAM; ARTHUR ADAMS; BERNIE HAMILTON; and WAYNE HENDERSON (THE CRUSADERS).

Julie harris, the strikingly beautiful and stunningly shapely California native, is a versatile, gifted singer who began her career at age 12, starring in her family's "J. Harris Band." With "perfect pitch" and a beautiful voice, every song that Julie sings is as much a treat to your ears as seeing her perform is a treat to your eyes.

Julie has been the lead vocalist of other groups, such as "It's A Brand New World," Warner Brother's recording act, "Slapback," and her own groups, like "Sweet Polly Esther," and the more recent "Oreo Divas," which is creating positive "buzz" all around Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Julie has recorded with many musical giants, including the great George Clinton. She has also done "voice-overs" and several musical jingles and commercials in Hollywood.
Julie's gorgeous smile, and on stage "fire," enliven The Former Lead Vocalists of The Buck Ram Platters' performances, and her broad experience enhances the group's professionalism. She is gorgeous, sexy and talented. Julie makes this group sizzle. She is the "dish" of The Platters that you will long remember.
Joel Gaines joined The Buck Ram Platters in the 90's. His first International performance with the group was in Punte del Este, Uruguay, South America. Joel brings his gargantuan talents to The Platters as both Pianist and Musical Director.
Joel started playing piano at the age of 9, and was well grounded in the study of classical piano. His musical heroes were Bach, Beethoven, and of course Mozart. His years in college were dedicated to expanding his musical knowledge and talents. He concentrated on, and excelled in, the disciplines of Harmony and Composition.
Joel is in great demand in the top recording studios of Los Angeles. But he is also a great "live" musician, and has worked with virtually every major act in music including such notables as Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Barry White, Kenny G, Donna Summers and Tony Orlando.
Though possessing an eclectic taste in music, Gaines admits that his style has been strongly influenced by such artists as Herbie Hancock, Art Tatum, Joe Sample and Chick Corea. This is evidenced in his own album, "I Wonder (Could It Be You)" on Inderoc Records.
Joel is at heart a "Smooth Jazz" artist, and his playing and style add great depth and a high degree of musicality, to each performance of the Former Lead Vocalists of The Buck Ram Platters.
Curtis Clay's first International performances with the group was in England. Curtis has performed all of his life. A magnificent vocalist, he has been privileged to perform at a variety of venues, each different and unique unto itself.
Of course, Curtis has performed in many groups throughout the years, but the two times that he was able to perform with The Temptations on tour were his most memorable.
Because of his excellent vocal range, Curtis has been invited to sing The National Anthem many times before televised professional sporting events. He has sung The National Anthem for the San Diego Padres baseball team on three different occasions. He has also sung The National Anthem twice for the new professional ice hockey team in Austin, Texas, The Austin Icebats.
Curtis, an exciting performer, has also carved out a niche for himself as a singer on TV sitcoms and late night shows such as "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Aire" starring Will Smith; "The Arsenio Hall Show" starring talk show host Arsenio Hall; and "Living Single" starring Queen Latifah.
Born and raised in Texas, Curtis was heavily influenced by the sounds he heard around him. Not just R&B, but also Country & Western. His voice blends these two influences into what he calles "THE COUNTRY SOUL OF CURTIS CLAY" which just happens to be the name of his current solo CD project now on sale in major retail stores as well as venerated on line sites like Amazon.com and CD Baby.com.
Curtis brings a unique, soulful flavor and feeling to the songs of The Platters that would have made Tony Williams himself proud.

When new members took over the original management company and began to treat this loyal and talented group unfairly, Paul, Julie, Joel and Curtis broke from The Buck Ram Platters, and now perform internationally as The Former Lead Vocalists of The Buck Ram Platters.
