For the past few years Meerhoff has taken part in Stellenbosch University's Maties annual Inter-res swimming gala. In 2016 Meerhoff was the only Tygerberg Residence to have enough participants to swim in the gala. Way to go Meerhoff Swimmers! Represent!

Special shout out to Daniel Potgieter who kindly, after having finished his race/heat of many lengths, swam back to swim alongside a fellow Matie from another residence who was struggling to finish the heat. They finished the length together - never leaving a man behind!

We look forward to taking part in many more galas to come, continuing to show our residence spirit and staying active in a fun way.
