The Hand - Pillow Talk (The Fun Committee, 1997, EP) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 07, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
The Fun Committee is an unreleased quartet of songs recorded by The Hand at the Kennel after Mule Me (1996) and before Sad Circus Clowns (1997). Pillow Talk originated with Brian Geltner’s bouncy guitar chord pattern. Chris wrote the lyrics poking fun at a lover who insisted on talking dirty constantly during sex.

You want to hear the words in my mind when I make love to you. You want to feel the heat of my thoughts as my words drip into you. But at the height of passion, I am so transformed as if I’m floating above my own body, floating in the atmosphere, where words are small, like little boxes. You want to grip the meat with your mind, so I keep talking to you. You want to hear me tell you that I belong completely to you. But at the height of passion, I am so transformed as if I’m floating above my own body, floating in the atmosphere, where words are small, like little boxes. Pillow talk! So in the heat of passion, let’s go to a place where words are meaningless, just sweet sensation. Take me to a zone where what we feel makes words unnecessary. Kiss me til the sounds of ecstasy we make need no translation. Pillow talk!
