TO THE FORE means to bring attention to. In this case the whole band gets a chance to come TO THE FORE as they present their parts to this enjoyable march. A steady pulse and strong sense of rhythm will convey the march feel for the audience. The percussion section has a particularly important role in performing TO THE FORE as they have an exciting solo feature! TO THE FORE has a strong sense of rhythm, a catchy melody and several dynamic changes which all provide for many teachable moments. This piece only uses 6 notes! It sure doesn't sound like it :)
