.the melancholiacs have been unpacked from their box following the winter hibernation, and have rubbed the sleep out of their eyes, and tuned their instruments of choice. The result of these exciting happenings is that they are back on the road and playing dates in and around London town wherever there is a stage and a cup of tea on offer. COME CHECK THEM OUT, new tunes, new faces, and new shoes. It may be impossible to contain that sort of excitement. They may explode. You have been warned.

Whenever you rent or buy a rock n roll band, you need to be sure you are getting the real thing. Always check the label to see if they carry the seal of authenticity. Remember, fake rock n roll is a crime, do not stand for it.

Only buy your rock n roll through reputable official outlets. the melancholiacs are one hundred per cent approved by the The rock n roll standards authority. They are rated PG, although some of Dan's guitar moves may not be suitable for a young audience.

Formed from the ashes of various solo projects, a failed career in hand modelling and at least one semi-successful us alt rock guitar outfit, the melancholiacs stumbled together in a flash of chance after sneaking into a matinee screening of a New York Dolls documentary, and sharing a hip flask of cheap bourbon accompanied by some salted popcorn.Hours later they were strumming cheap guitars, sipping tea and bashing pots and pans, creating songs about summmer, sun, life, being dumb and girls. Oh yes, all songs are about girls.

the melans - you're my number 1

After washing the neighbourhood's cars for additional pocket money, they invested in some slightly less cheap gear and honed their sound over a mutual appreciation of the beach boys, eels, the ramones, of Montreal, and even came out about their unnatural passion for the back catalogue of MC Hammer.

Now the melancholiacs have packed up the ukulele, and taken their show on the road, creating a new sound that explodes away from their recorded output into pant-wettingly, foot stompingly loud nuggets of rock n roll. If you like them on record, then you'll love them live.
