EDISON'S LEGACY, c’est un peu comme un héritage bousculé, comme si, surgit du fond d’un grenier, les inventions de l’illustre aïeul s’étaient retrouvées détournées de leur usage premier. Comme si le phonographe était utilisé sans notice. Comme si l’électricité ne pouvait plus être contenue dans les câbles et qu’elle envahissait l’air, capable d’embraser les corps.

C’est une créature transgenre, au coeur électro et à l’âme rock, à moins que ce ne soit l’inverse. ne revendique aucune influence, pour éviter d’être cloisonné dans un style plutôt qu’un autre. C’est pour ça que sa musique est aussi variée, voyageant à la rencontre de toutes les cultures musicales.

Ce sont 2 DJs qui entrelacent leurs scratches et leurs samples sur les mélodies punchies d’un trio guitare/basse/batterie, le tout accompagné de Kiland, chanteur/MC.


Edison’s Legacy is actually made out of two Dj’s mixing their scratches and samples on the punchy melodies of a power trio. all that is bound by a raping and singing voice.

Musically speaking it is kind of a transgender creature with an electro heart beat and and rock soul - or maybe the other way around.. as they don’t really like being categorised, they don’t claim any influence. And maybe that’s why you can find so many listening to their music.

Formed in 2011 the group released a first EP including four songs. Then the band was selected in 2013 by Château Rouge to participate in an enhancing musical program. They came out of it with a second EP including three tracks. By the time it was released, Kiland joined in and they’ve been revealing and shaping their true identity since then.
