As you probably heard, Kesha checked herself into rehab. Earlier this week, she announced via her Facebook page that she'll be unavailable for 30 days while receiving treatment for an eating disorder.
ELAINE
That eating disorder, we've since learned from Kesha's mom Pebe Sebert, is bulimia. And the "Die Young" singer's mom didn't stop there.
NICOLE
Sebert pulled no punches in a recent interview with People Magazine, in which she pinned the blame for her daughter's troubles squarely on longtime producer Dr. Luke.
ELAINE
She said Dr. Luke bullied Kesha into staying thin and once called her "a refrigerator." Sebert added, "After she went on a 14-day juice cleanse, he said, 'Thank God you finally got rid of the weight!'"
NICOLE
The famed producer denied those claims and said the following through his spokesperson, "It is unfortunate that at a time Ke$ha is suffering immensely and trying to heal at a treatment center, her mother is taking this approach with the media. I give Ke$ha my utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health."
ELAINE
It's a shame all this is going down when Kesha's shut off from the world and can't respond for herself. But it's not all bad. Her music video for "Dirty Love," which she also directed, just got released, and "Timber," her latest single with Pitbull, just reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100.
