The Chevrons Songs Compilation

The Chevrons singing group was formed in the upper Inwood and Washington Heights section of Manhatten circa 1959. Five teenagers consisting of Dennis Minoque aka Terry Cashman-Lead, Marty Trautman-second lead and tenor, Gary Goriden-barritone, Frank Williams- First tenor, and Al Conde-bass. Conde was a former member of The Spirals singing group which recorded (Little Girl/School Bells) for George Goldners End Record Label circa 1958.
Chevrons first recording on the Brent Label owned by Bob Shad was (That Comes With Love/Don't Be Heartless) Followed by their first national hit (Lullabye/Day after Forever) recording Which got them to appear on all the TV Music Shows, including The Dick Clarks AmericanBandstand on July 24, 1960.
Soon followed by an Album on the Brent subsiduary Time Label (Chevrons Sing A Long Rock N' Roll) which is comprised of twenty six covered hit songs of the time.
Several songs were taken out and made into singles, such as (Little Star,Little Darling, Come Go With Me, I've Had It, Wake Up Little Susie, Love Is Strange, All I Have To Do Is Dream)
Followed by singles (Pretty Face/ Try Me) and two songs written by Al Conde (New Orleans/ Life)
The Chevrons disbanded in 1962.
