THIS is from the sunday nite blues jam down at ashley's on 4th st. in LONG BEACH CA, with some of the regulars backing blaze. NOT the USUAL band, but some good goooood players we reckon. rick on drums, who's "too busy" to play proper shows, he says (dammit) and we dunno the guys name on bass, but he's KEEEWL. and then there's BARRY G. our host sunday nites down there, and he's just a GENERALLY KICK ASS CHAPPY. not every face is happy to see us, but barry always is. he's A GREAT GUY!!!! and a KILLER harp player, evidenced by the material here. the ELBOW belongs to JAYNIE INVELDT who's brother is in the MAMA'S BOYS, and she's a beautiful soul as well as having a great pair of ELBOWS, GRRRRR. this is THE SKY IS CRYIN' a cover written by elmore james and a song that MUST be played whenever blaze malaise has any time to play anything. if blaze is gonna play ONE song, its usually THIS one. filmed by our good friend jose', on his PHONE, it has great energy, so we've included it here.
