Here's our version of Jake Bugg's brilliant new track "Song About Love". We've had a few comments on our videos this year asking us to cover one of Jake's songs, and when we saw him perform this one so well on Later... with Jools Holland we were quickly reaching for the guitars to figure out the chords and finger picking...

"Song About Love" is going to be on the forthcoming Jake Bugg album "Shangri La", which will be released later this month. Whilst many musicians will happily idle away two or three years between albums, Jake has managed to turn this one around just over a year after his debut album was released - refreshing stuff!

Boring technical guitar notes:

- As with JB's Jools Holland performance we've tuned the guitars down a semi-tone, i.e. Eb - Ab - Db - Gb - Bb - Eb, making it feasible to sing the chorus

- There is a weird timing irregularity: an extra note is added into the finger picking part in the verse, putting it into a different time signature from the finger picking part in the intro. There is no possible way to explain this (unless you actually understand music properly, unlike the Moon Loungers).
