DESCRIPTION:
Sometimes The Bay Area Can be a busy place for music.
Nov 30 2012- I was double booked.
The Bruce Springsteen Concert at Oakland Arena.
Then Home for the 12 am set from the re united Curbside.
Curbside a band that I remember as a bunch of Punks from the 90's local scene. LOL
Punks except Mike Davis the Bass Player who was always cool with me.
I was running Radio Free San Jose at the time and had the Station in Campbell
100 watts of terror -at a warehouse space that rented jam rooms to bands.
Curbside was housed in this wacky warehouse facility.
One of the band guys was a DJ for a while spinning his music on the station.
We really didn't get along at the time.We had a mutual hatred for each other lines were drawn because of a Local magazine.
I was never a Kiss ass, that never worked for me,.
I also have bad A.D.D. and blurt out truths.
Funny thing is the magazine owner was supposedly cool and some punk rock guy.
But in my eyes I seen a shifty con man .
Someone making a buck off the bands and trying his best to push a sub par product.
Yeah Punk is not someone in my opinion who is wearing a mask and in reality is an Oliver Twist type ruthless character.
Yeah that character is still around .A douche hipster who owns a club now out of our area.
Flash Forward to 2012 -I meet one of the Curbside guys and we're basically cool with each other.
Talked about the reason we had static and now everything is worked out. cool.
Punk rock for me is a statement . Saying f curbside at the times was very punk.
More Punk than Punk. I still will not kiss any bands or Promoters ass or cater to their little scene crap.
If i like your music i will film it and put it on the web and TV.
I always Liked some of Curbside's tunes.So Yes They are on my Program.
Punk rock never dies it will always be a state of mind.
