DESCRIPTION:
2nd Moon is an ethnic fusion music band comprised of guitarist and mandolinist Kim Hyun-bo, bassist Park Jin-woo, keyboardist and accordionist Choi Jin-kyoung, drummer and percussionist Baek Seon-yeol, violinist Jo Yun-jeong and guitarist Lee Young-hoon. This band began receiving mainstream attention with various drama soundtracks, such as "Ireland" and "Princess Hour," and also won critical acclaim with their first album, "2nd Moon" (2005). After a 10-year break, the band returned to the industry with their second album, "How Have You Been?" and are currently pursuing various activities with the gugak project "Pansori - Chunhyang-ga." 민속음악부터 왈츠, 탱고, 팝, 재즈를 아우르는 에스닉퓨전밴드로 김현보(기타, 만돌린), 박진우(베이스), 최진경(키보드, 아코디언), 백선열(드럼, 퍼커션), 조윤정(바이올린), 이영훈(기타) 등 6명으로 이뤄진 혼성 6인조 밴드이다. 2005년 1집 앨범 '2nd Moon'으로 데뷔해 드라마 '아일랜드'에 삽입된 '서쪽 하늘에'를 시작으로 드라마 OST와 광고 음악으로 이름을 알렸다. 10년의 공백기끝에 2015년 정규2집을 발표, 최근 국악프로젝트 판소리춘향가까지 활발히 활동중이다. 판소리 춘향전을 모르는 한국인은 거의 없을 정도로 여전히 많은 이들이 사랑하는 판소리이다. 춘향가 본래의 애절함과 아름다움이 훼손되지 않으면서도 현대적인 색깔로 새롭게 태어났다. 그것은 에스닉퓨전밴드 두번째달과 만나 가능해졌다. 데뷔 10년 넘게 자신만의 색채를 고수하면서도 더욱 근사하고 아름다운 음악을 만들어내는 밴드 두번째달과 만난다.
