Supergroove - Here Comes the Supergroove - Video
PUBLISHED:  Apr 30, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Funded from NZ On Air's Video fund in Jun 1992, "Here Comes The Supergroove" was the first salvo in a string of seven singles Supergroove would aim at the charts, and while not a top ten botherer like many of their subsequent hits (reaching #21 on the NZ national charts), as a statement of intent it comes correct with all of the aspects they became known for: muscular guitars and rhythms accented with brass, choruses so infectious they should have been distributed with an accompanying packet of Tamiflu, and the Karl and Che tag-team vocal dynamics.

Saxman Nick Atkinson reviews their first video from the vantage point of two decades on:
"The fire-proof pants were scintillating in sparkling silver but yee-gads they were hot. What an earth was that model doing there? She didn't seem very happy. It was the first of many excruiting and unending video shoots. One more time with feeling! It was a thrill for us 18 year olds when this song worried the top 20 when it came out in '92."
