Streetnoise - What Cost Is Love - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Quite frankly, too much great music has been lost. Right? Can you even imagine how many great performances have been lost throughout the years? Never recorded, just experienced by those present? I thought the music of Streetnoise should be preserved. I knew most of this band back in the day, and loved their stuff. Great people, and great players. I was blessed with a demo tape (to be clear, a copy on cassette!) at one point (thanks to Sandy Martin) when they rehearsed in 'old town' Thousand Oaks. They were very close to breaking into the big time then, and they were playing at some prestigious locales in the LA area. Sadly, that break out never quite happened...but that doesn't diminish their musical, interpretive, and compositional accomplishments! As I remember the band, the band members consisted of Sandy Martin on keys and vocals, Larry 'spider' Webb on guitars and vocals, Keith Heinz on drums, and John Chaffin or Shadow on bass. The pictures above show John on bass at Jungleland, but I'm not sure who is actually playing the bass on this recording. The pictures in this video are from a concert they gave at the old Jungleland location in Thousand Oaks. I'm not certain of the exact year I took these photos...but I know it was in the mid 70's.
