Hear them every Tuesday night. Steve has played in various acts with Billy Barren and Matt Hall currently known as The Story Tellers! and The Hallman Brothers. Both acts have a wide range of genres they perform catch a show soon.
BIO: Steve Wheeler native of Jacksonville, Fl. Guitarist/Songwriter/Producer/Singer. Bands Bio: Bonnie Gringo,The Danny Joe Brown Band, Money, Full Tilt, The Motion, Vigil Annie, Big Engine, Tribe, Jammin' Salmon, Stryker, A1A North, The Network, All About Eve, The Larry Mangum Cowboy Orchestra and Trio, and The Craig Hand Band (2007 version),Hall, Heater, & Wheeler, Rosco Caine (2009-2011), and Story Tellers!, and The Hallman Brothers. In 1980, Steve was invited to join the Danny Joe Brown Band. Name sake and founder deceased as of 2006; Danny was the original lead singer and founder of the original lineup for the Molly Hatchet band. Joining the band led to an opportunity for Steve to write for and play on a 1981 solo effort released by CBS/Epic Records titled Danny Joe Brown and The Danny Joe Brown Band. The album was recorded at Compass Point Studios, Nassau, Bahamas, produced by legendary Glyn Johns. CBS released the video of Steve's song from the album titled "Nobody Walks on Me" for MTV rotation also in 1981, re-released in 2004 by Sony Music Custom Marketing Group. Many bands came and went over the years and added notable memories to the local music scene! In the late 1990's Steve & Wayne Hunnicutt of Wolfman Jack Productions shared a vision. What resulted was a band named, Southern Rock Rebellion. Band members included but not limited to: Steve Wheeler, Charlie Hargrett (Blackfoot), Shawn Beemer (Molly Hatchet), Bobby Caldwell (Johnny Winter, Rick Derringer, and Captain Beyond), Buzzy Meekins, Steve Kay (The Outlaws) Harley Perryman, & Kenny Wendland. SRR toured the states in the early 2000's with guitar tech Randy Skirvin (Heart, Stevie Nicks, Van In Halen, member Iron Butterfly), sound tech & roadie, Mark Carlton. For the past four decades, Steve has been playing, writing, producing and recording.
