Steve Pilgrim

Steve Pilgrim, split personality of beat monkey and moody boy. Liverpool based musician. Drummer from the age of six.

Steve first achieved commercial success with Liverpool band The Stands in 2003 and toured worldwide over the following years with the likes of Oasis, Jet and The Libertines.



After leaving the group in 2005 Steve started to write, first travelling to Japan collaborating with Folktronica artist Yoshio Akeboshi. This was the point when he really started to hone his craft as a songwriter.

He continued to drum for various groups and solo artists making American roots music with Cast/La's man John Power, Classical Gypsy with Sophie Solomom, upbeat Indie/New wave with The Cuckolds and The Fools. Most recently he has taken over from Steve White to drum for Paul Weller and is due to tour extensively again this year.



Steve’s debut album arrived in 2007 and was keenly received. Partly recorded at Noel Gallagher’s studio, warm acoustic ballads and foot tapping finger picking, Steve’s solo work is not easily identifiable with his drumming counterpart but is equally as enjoyable.
