Marc Sunderland (lead singer, guitarist, pianist of Peter and the Wolf) is quite a prolific little multi instrumentalist/songwriter. His ADHD and textbook behavioural issues gift him with the powers to craft classic original songs but with sparky ingenious lifts and twists, and provide him a wealth of true stories and experiences of life on the edge, from which he draws his lyrics (and many a sing-along torrid tale). Every lyric sung and every note played pieces together the story - these songs are 100% substance over style.

Armed with Hugo “Bass Rig” Harrison and Donna “La Machine” Dosanjh, the band penned and recorded the first Peter and the Wolf EP “Storyteller” in Marc’s Liverpool bedroom. After a four star review in the Independent, “Storyteller” caused quite a stir in the pants of many, “If 'Storyteller' sounds unusual, it is because it packs more imagination, charm and musicianship into little over fifteen minutes than many celebrated outfits display over entire careers.” GIGWISE.

Picked up by Guy Garvey and put out on his Skinny Dog label, the band received much adoration and after opening the Park Stage at Glastonbury in 2007, the Wolf were personally asked by Paul Heaton, of Beautiful South fame to tour with him on his UK solo tour.

Having finally put the finishing touches to their long awaited debut album “Golden Stars”, the band are now ready to unleash it on the world. Featuring an eclectic mish mash of sounds and styles, the album includes the theme tune for BBC3’s TV comedy “Massive”. Recorded by Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Scott Matthews, Kings of Leon, Robert Plant) and Mastered by John Dent, this captivating album will take you on a journey packed with beautiful melodies recounting true tales of the love and loss and lightness and dark within us all.
