Stefano Ronchi plays "Theo Dahlem TE-SR 01" Pickups Part 2 - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Here's an other nice tune played by Stefano Ronchi. Playing his new "Theo Dahlem TE-SR 01" Pickup set he sends the signal through my RIVERA Venus 5 amplifier w. an ext. "VOX Heritage Collection V212H" cabinet. Two 12" "Celestion Blue" inside give it its' destinctive tone that many guitar players love so much. No pedals involved. He is just using the Rivera's acutronics long spring reverb and its' channel switching feature from 1.51 min on.
This RIVERA Venus 5 amp. is my own conversion project. I simply installed the amp. chassis upside down into a home made custom head. Just like on some other popular amp designs the tubes go up now This lets the heat escape better and helps the other components stay cooler. I used Marshall style red Tolex and as a result of flipping the amp. chassis the control panel reads reverse. But surprisingly to me that ain't no problem at all. The human brain perfectly reads it just as if it had a normal orientation.
The "TE-SR 01" Tele style pickup set is custom tailored to Stefano's need for a Tele set that gives him smooth touch sensitive attack w. all the dynamics he needs for his playing style. It is voiced to match his Telecaster guitar for a sweet ringing tone without the ice pick yet being snappy enough if needed.
Being a serious session and live musician he was in need for an extremely well balanced pickup.
Here you have it. A great all round pickup for the pro.
Enjoy.

As a general side note:
In every recording, unless on special request of the demonstrating artist I record my pickup demonstration videos with the most real tone I can get. I use commonly known popular amplifiers with a clean tone as a benchmark. If a pickup passes i.e. a Fender Princeton Reverb or a Vibrolux Reverb amplifier, then it can go anywhere from there. If you listen to distorted, overdriven pickup demo, IMO you won't never really know how the pickup in question may sound like at a low volume level. However, although I focus on recording clean amplifier settings, overdriven sound demonstrations may come up once in a while.
Have fun.
