We’ve been so proud to be associated with Huss & Dalton since we opened more than thirteen years ago. As such, we have been able to watch their growth and evolution into this their 20th year! Here we have (back on consignment from a collector) a custom MJ maple that we picked up at the 2007 NAMM Show.

To be exact, it is a translucent black stain over flame maple body and neck and over the bearclaw-Spruce top. Albert Lee ended up with a guitar exactly like this and it was featured in lots of H&D promotional material. Look it over – Koa, Koa, Koa: Koa binding, Koa tuner knobs, Koa rosette, and Koa pick guard (whuh?!) with1 and 3/4″ nut width, with exotic looks and sound to match. It has a loud and deep sound, but with the control of maple. Nothing sloppy here. It can run finger style or can rock out.

The pics only approximate the beauty of this guitar. It is a tricky thing to photograph. Difficult to photograph…easy to love. Take our word for it. She’s a beauty!
