This show is loaded with great music that hits up both sides of the musical spectrum—from hip-hop to a cappella. The groups Sol Rebelz and Charming Hostess performed at the Oakland store Change Makers, which is known for hosting and promoting local cultural, artistic, and activist events. In Part 2 we feature Charming Hostess, a three woman a cappella group that puts a new spin on songs with a political message by infusing them with eerie syncopated melodies. These girls tell it like it is—whether it's warfare in Sarajevo or Laurence hogging the microphone, they certainly know how to get their message across.
