With Vintage & Morelli's debut artist album just around the corner, it's our great privilege to present the standout first single, "Daydream". Premiered recently on Above & Beyond's "Group Therapy" radio show, this breathtaking track not only best represents the Serbian talent's dynamic and versatile sound, but also is truly one of his finest compositions to date.

A patient, heavily filtered groove and piano-based lead set a deep and mysterious tone in the early going. The sensual soundscape is enhanced by haunting vocal accents, as well as resonant bass layers (an artist signature). As the opening build begins to wind back down, gorgeous piano lines begin to emerge, setting the stage for an awe-inspiring breakdown. Specifically, in the break, the emotive piano theme is joined by a plaintive "Who are you" vocal refrain. Energetic, trance-influenced synths follow, creating an aura of almost overwhelming suspense. Finally, the deep rhythm drops back into the mix, which crescendoes to absolutely glorious effect.

The incomparable Shingo Nakamura begins his eighth year as a contributor to our imprint with the one and only remix of "Daydream". Fans of the Japanese virtuoso are already well aware that he is capable of writing superlative music in a wide variety of genres; given the deeper vibes in the original mix, he has chosen to inject a shot of adrenaline into his interpretation. Side-chained pads and electrifying chords establish the peak-hour sound early. In the breakdown, the gorgeous piano motif from the original mix is solo'd and then later joined, once again, by layered, goosebumps-inducing pads and chords. The drop to follow is absolutely thrilling -- easily one of the most emotive, intelligent, and anthemic arrangements of Shingo's storied career.
