This just tells us that nothing else can directly mess up vocal recordings than those obvious pops. Pop shields are often made from nylon or metallic mesh. Other people at times develop their own pop shield by just putting a stocking over a wire but this typically does not filter the sound as efficiently as the real pop filters.
