At this point in his life, Sevren Sanders has had more poetry flow from the tip of his pen than most writers ever ink. Emotional scars that never seem to heal use eclectic beats as mediums to transform his writings into music. In this project, a truth is being told that most other artists are not telling. Thought-provoking topics such as abuse, war, politics and religion are just some of the things that SEVREN is not afraid to put a beat to. This poetic lyricism began years before he would ever grab a mic… As the son of Steve Sanders, child Gospel star and baritone singer for the Oak Ridge Boys, Sevren was introduced to music in a way that most children will never know. Sevren played drums while he was still young, however, instead of pretending to be on stage with the Oaks, he was pounding out beats that he could rap to. As an adolescent, some of the friends closest to him began to spend more time in jail, and less time being positive. These weights were soon amplified by the death of his father. Now, a young man searching for an identity was branded with one….SEV. Now his writings have become his life. Sevren’s world premier was heard on a Nashville radio station where Def-Jam recording artist, Haystack said, “SEVREN has definitely got dedication and that’s what it takes.” Haystack went on to say that he would like to work with SEVREN in the future. Award-winning radio personality Carl P. Mayfield says, “This kid is brilliant…SEVREN, you have a new fan in me. This is the first time in a long time I have heard so much truth in music… this is what I’ve been looking for!” SEV: Chapter 1 has already sold over 1000 copies. The follow-up, Chapter 2, is a continuation of the life story of a guy who has about 100 life stories to tell. It will make you laugh and cry but most of all it will make you think. Sevren has written, composed, published, produced and recorded the entire project with the help of his “40 Family.” With a witty southern style and urban hip hop beats, these tracks are like nothing before. Sevren says, “To me RAP stands for Rhythm And Pain” so his lyrics, melodies, and tracks are really poetry put to a beat. Nothing about his writing is shallow or silly (like a lot of the mainstream RAP today). This is deep, meaningful stuff that he has pulled from his own life- every bit of it is from his heart. Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 are truly the first 2 chapters in his biography. And what a story to tell! CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD OR PURCHASE SEV's MUSIC
