ALEX KING BIO | Born in Hollywood, CA, Alex Kings journey has been nothing short of a Quinton Tarantino film. Witnessing his father fatally shot in the last of many violent domestic disputes with his mother would mark Alex’s first and last memories of his father. After the shooting was ruled as self-defense, Alex’s mother moved with her son back home to N.Y.C. where they moved around alot,

young Alex King would discover Hip-Hop in the parks and on blocks that he would walk down on his way home from school. Alex's mother remarried and moved him and his three younger sisters to Nashville, TN where he would spend the next 10 years of his life. In 1992, his mother divorced and she began working nonstop.

Raising 3 girls, she tried with everything she could but was unable to keep Alex from roaming the streets. He soon dropped out of high school and after seeing numerous close friends

die and/or go to prison,

he packed a bag and hopped on an 82-hour bus ride headed for Boulder, CO where he spent 4 months camping out in a tent by him self, reading, and refocusing his energy. A magazine subscription company then hired Alex, off the street and he spent the next year traveling across 39 states.

On these trips, he began to formulate his life into songs for the first time. Following a trip back to Nashville to attend the funeral of murdered childhood friend, he began DJ'ing small parties, producing and releasing mix tapes. This would lead to a recording contract with the largest independent record label in Nashville. While doing street promotions for local and regional artists, Alex landed a job doing retail and street team promotions for Select-O Hits, the only major independent distribution company in America.

Alex’s record deal was wack, but at the label he met and befriended an up in-coming songwriter/producer,Shannon Sanders, who would prove to be a great friend and teacher. Alex decided to depart from the label and utilize his street savvy and experience running magazine crews, to build a promotion and marketing team. Alex found success; promoting clubs,

concerts and after parties for major artists such as Kid Rock, Erykah Badu,

Bubba Sparxxx, Hypnotized Minds, to name a few.

In 2003, Alex began being managed and mentored by Bernard Parks (Goodie Mob, Outkast, Dungeon Family, Dj Toomp) during this period Alex Began recording and was embraced in exclusive Atlanta studios and production circles. Also spending time on the sets major film/video director's like Steve Carr, Bryan Barber and The Terreros Brothers. The film and video bug had bitten Alex and after teaching himself video editing, Alex wrote, directed, co-produced (Juggernaut Productions), edited and self-distributed a critically acclaimed Award Winning documentary called White Boyz Can’t Rap. Learning graphic design, and web development

in the process, and with the spirit of

independence running through every thread of his life, Alex started a multi media company properly named Independent Day.

Alex’s experience and reputation resulted in invitations to speak on the importance of new media

and how to effectively tap into the newly emerging web 2.0 worlds at entertainment industry panels, such as the Entertainment Industry Insiders Power Summit, Southern Entertainment Awards panels, and the T.G.F. Hip-Hop Film Festival & Action Conference. Speaking on these

panels with industry insiders, Alex was perplexed to learn that he was light years ahead of the curve. He must have decided to give the music industry time to catch up when he mysteriously

disappeared. Many stories surfaced, but no one had any idea what really happened to the rising star…

In 2009, Alex King resurfaced stronger than ever with, "REINCARNATED", a biopic & debut solo album and began touring the U.S. in Promotion of it's release.

THE ALBUM | An autobiographical biopic story with the essence of Atliens and the Introspective Edge of a Scarface or Eightball and MJG. “Reincarnated” has a Soulful Rock backing with lots live instrumentation, futuristic drum sections, syrupy bass lines and honest lyrics that reflect an artist who's unafraid to let an emotional, heartfelt, intelligent and unique sound emanate. “Reincarnated” is essentially a thematic hip-hop/rock album about life, loss & the spirit and will to stand up dust yourself off and keep going. Detailing his early years and environments throughout life, as well as Alex's continuous transitions and quest for growth, “Reincarnated” is an uplifting coming of age story that spans from boy to man and all of the focus and stregth that is required to let go, and be the best possible version of one's self and ultimately find the Purity of Enlightenment through Creativity.

Most of “REINCARNATED’s” production duties were handled by Alex himself and production partners, T.Wayne & Sonny Bama with the exception of guest appearances of his longtime friend and co-creator 3x Grammy Award winner Shannon Sanders who produced and vocally graces the inspiring first single "What If I” which was written by Alex as an ode to those who get up, go out, and go get it every day … Reminding each listener to live every day as if it's their last. And breathe every breath like it's their first.
