DESCRIPTION:
I managed to catch up with one of Glasgow's longest standing hip hop artists, Bohze who has been an influential figure on the UK hip hop scene for a long time, known for his involvement in Glasgow rap crew " II Tone Committee"
I always acknowledged him as an MC and never knew he had some mad skills in the beat production.
It was basically through a mutual friend that I discovered Bohze's skills as a producer, NC Epik was always playing me new joints from his group called "The Sentinalez" and I was like damn the production on these was crazy, not like anything I was hearing from other act's coming through and he was saying Bohze is the one on the production, using quirky sounds and obscure samples I was always intrigued by what I heard.
This Producers Spotlight is kept brief as I plan to shoot a little more from Bohze and few other Scottish based producers over the next few months and go a little more in depth on their beat making processes, influences and production kits.
