Yellowman, stage name of Winston Foster (Negril, Jamaica, 1956) is a Jamaican DJ ragga and dancehall. It is considered the first dancehall icon.

Yellowman was an orphan and raised in Maxfield orphanage in Kingston. His albino condition brought a lot of prejudice from the beginning, being their main refuge music. His biggest influences come from deejays like U-Roy.
As a teenager, gets a job as a DJ replacement in Gemini Sound System. His unique style of dressing, along with her appearance and indisputable talent, made him quickly a success. Its highly satirical rhymes, dealing with their skin color and their cases with women soon became famous. With its highly energetic and exciting stage performance attracts many fans.
In 1979, he wins the acclaimed Tastee Talent Contest. Yellowman recorded many singles and albums during the '80s, reaching launch more than forty singles and five albums in the same year.
