DESCRIPTION:
"Madness legacy" is a multichannel - live surrounding mixing - sound installation created & performed in 2007 by Sara Lenzi and Luigi Mastandrea. The performance was commissioned by the National Health Service and the Mental Health Institute of San Lazzaro Ex Mental Hospital in Reggio Emilia and Officina delle Arti. The performance took place in the ancient courtyard of the Mental Hospital, a huge building dating back to XVII century and involved live sound spatialization with Max/MSP, live performance with Ableton Live, a 8-channels sound diffusion system, 2 "tulle screens".
