DESCRIPTION:
Born with a natural ability to sing, Barbara Jo has had a lot of great times harmonizing with her father who sang in the Cardinals Barbershop Quartet and now she has the opportunity to work with many elders in retirement communities as a Music Therapist. Barbara feels truly blessed to work with the elder population playing memorable folk songs to a full spectrum of elderly care, from specialized Alzheimer’s, assisted nursing, independent living, along with end of life needs and hospice care. This is a successful and beautifully healing situation for their loved ones and especially for the families to see them at it again. Barbara has witnessed great miracles with the healing sounds of song and music to here has been a blessed healing force in life and she's very grateful to share it with as many folks as she can!

This past October, 2016, Barbara had a unique and wonderful experience filming a short bio-type video working with KC Groves and Sally Van Meter, two ladies who are Bluegrass legends from Lyons, CO, the Bluegrass capital of the world! Barbara Jo sings two of her favorite songs with top notch musicians, Aaron Youngberg (pedal steel/banjo) and Eric Thorin (upright bass).
