'Lovers Of New York'
Single to be released 14th September, 2014.

Throughout history musicians have collaborated with other musicians; some matches have been surprising others more expected with the end results varying massively.

British indie-pop band Rubylux announce their next single 'Lovers Of New York' will be a collaboration with Lee Ryan of hit R'n'B group Blue. Although a thoroughly unexpected match the end result is sublime.

Already a fantastic song in its own right, Lee's soulful vocals take it to another level giving it a whole new dimension.

"We have always admired Lee's vocal ability from afar and we're delighted he agreed to feature on 'Lovers Of New York'. It's a song that has been a bit of a fan favourite since its inclusion on our album, and to release it as a single with a new twist is something that is really exciting for us!"  - Rubylux

"I am honoured to have been asked by Rubylux to work with them on the 'Lovers Of New York' track.  It's a pleasure to be able to work with the guys, we have a mutual respect and passion for music." -- Lee Ryan

Brighton-based Rubylux - lead singer and guitarist Rob Irving, bassist Clark Coslett-Hughes, keyboard player Adam Harris and drummer Mike Hall - are known for their energetic mix of indie rock with a dose of pop, a sound which has gone down a storm at various festivals all over the UK including 'Kendall Calling', 'Great British Summertime' and Chris Evans' festival 'Carfest' in 2013. Chris was so impressed by their performance that they secured a spot on his breakfast show and their single 'I Don't Want Paradise' made it onto the A-list on BBC Radio 2. As well as this they were named as the first ever musical ambassadors for Soccerex joining the elite list of champions including Steven Gerrard and Neymar.

Having received personal recognition from The Who's Roger Daltrey, Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and Seasick Steve, it's obvious that Rubylux are going places. This year Rubylux are set to take their rock/pop anthems over to the US and throughout Europe having signed to Sony Red USA at the end of 2013.

Lee knows this journey all too well as a member of Blue, also an English male four-piece. Blue enjoyed a huge amount of success selling over 3 million albums and 1 million singles in the UK alone and 10 million albums worldwide.

'Lovers Of New York' wonderfully unites the two voices creating a song that is both beautiful and powerful in equal measure.
